V Flexible Packaging Conference

Carnevalli sponsored the V International Flexible Packaging Conference TAPPI/CETEA, held at ITAL_ - Instituto de Tecnologia de Alimentos (Food Technology Institute), in Campinas (SP), from March, 26th to March, 28th,2008.
The event gathered preeminent companies and people from all areas directly involved with film  and packaging production and quality assurance. The latest technologies, solutions and innovations in the segment of flexible packaging were presented and discussed by Brazilian, North-American and European experts, with  lectures on resins, films, adhesives, equipment, processing technologies, and other subjects.
As one of the sponsors for event, Carnevalli  was responsible for a technical lecture on  Blown film extrusion-Productivity, the theme permitted full interaction with the audience that shared concepts, studies and products comparisons.

Expertise to diminish energy consumption
in the second Day of the event, the public could realize that it is possible to achieve higher productivity with high quality in film production, from the lecture given by  Ricardo Munhoz, Carnevalli’s Design and Development Manager.
According to  Munhoz, the reduction in energy consumption and the reduction in film thicknesses variation were the themes that gathered more attention and interest from the participants.
“It was impressive the concern of all participants with energy consumption, and , due to the new technology Carnevalli is now introducing in its extrusion lines, it is possible to reduce energy consumption with up to 40% productivity gain at the same time.”.
the Double Air Cooling Ring System, developed under German technology and applied to Carnevalli equipment, improves the bubble cooling, with higher velocity and air volumes at the cooling interface, and keeps tight control of film thicknesses, thus increasing the productivity over conventional air rings.
The event, that gathered converters and flexible packaging users from Brazil and other countries, was an excellent opportunity for technical actualization and experiences sharing. “It is quite important to attend these events, to get acquainted with newest technologies and be deeply integrated within the world of blown film production”, emphasizes Munhoz.
