StiraFlex 2100 MDO
Carnevalli designed the STIRAFLEX 2100 MDO, for the production of flexible film oriented in machine direction (MDO technology), to improve film properties and characteristics, such mechanical strength, barrier increase of coextruded film with PA as barrier material, higher gloss and transparency, down gauging, and many other. Besides, the resulting film oriented through this technology are cheap to produce and in many cases may substitute bi-oriented film such as BOPP and BOPA, as well as other film such as PET, OPA and OPS, that require expensive equipment to be produced, leading to reduced packaging costs. Many applications have been developed and devised employing the MDO process, for instance, HDPE film for twist-wrap packaging of candies and caramels, heavy-duty transport sacks, film for laminated packaging, stand-up pouches ( powder milk, coffee, catchups, mayonnaise, etc.), easy tearing pouches (for snacks and the like), can liners, Adhesive ribbons, etc.
